Social Innovation Center Region HannoverThe Social Innovation Center promotes social innovation and entrepreneurship in the Hannover region and right across Niedersachsen, supervising and encouraging innovative start-up concepts through a free three-month entrepreneurship programme. In this period, new business founders can access advice, workshops, and a mentoring programme staffed by business professionals and technical specialists, while benefiting from the Social Innovation Center’s cross-regional networking and media profile.

20-jähriges Jubiläum der LINGARethinking Aging and Driving Social InnovationFor 20 years, the Lower Saxony Initiative for Intergenerational Everyday Life (LINGA) has been building thematic bridges and driving social innovations for the older generation with a focus on Universal Design and digitalization – a reason for us to look back and think ahead. We cordially invite you to celebrate with us and discover new topics and trends. As a state initiative, we promote "Social Innovations for Generations in Everyday Life" and raise awareness for a sustainable demographic strategy as a cross-departmental, interdisciplinary ongoing task. LINGA is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality and also cooperates in various projects and events with the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport and Construction. The cross-departmental work of the state initiative is also optimized by Niedersachsen.next GmbH as the project sponsor, bringing LINGA closer to the state's strategic planning and innovation policy. The transfer of knowledge and innovative solutions through cross-sectoral cooperation is one of LINGA's strengths! At an anniversary event, we want to offer our network and project partners as well as political and municipal representatives an opportunity to learn more about us and to network. We wish that this is also reflected in a short impulse from Minister Dr. Andreas Philippi and through participation in the panel discussion with politicians and State Secretary Matthias Wunderling-Weilbier.

Social Innovation Center Demo Day Batch 13Five teams. Five societal challenges. Five new solution approaches.On November 11 at 5:00 PM, the teams of the 13th cohort of the Social Innovation Center will present their ideas and show what has emerged over the past months in the Hafven Event Space.In 7 minutes each, they bring their projects onto the stage: TRAGWERK develops new support offers for social organizations, Cycle Stories focuses on women's health, JOININ creates new ways to combat loneliness among young people, Konditopia connects vegan pastry, art, and sustainability, and the Musiker*innenkompass advocates for the physical and mental health of musicians.After the pitches, the evening continues with Drinks & Food. Time to get to know the teams personally, exchange ideas, and make new contacts.

Impact Day HildesheimHow does a good idea become a business model that not only works economically but also moves society? At the Impact Day Hildesheim, founders from the region show how Social Entrepreneurship works in practice – with real experiences instead of gray theory.Participating are, among others, the Hildesheim startup nimbo, which develops a child-friendly companion for children with diabetes, and the founder of TreElv, who gives insights into his founding in the field of digitization and sustainability.In short impulses and interactive formats, you will learn how entrepreneurial solutions arise from social or ecological challenges and how impact and economic viability can be thought of together. In addition, you can develop your own first ideas and exchange ideas with founders and other interested in founding.The Impact Day is organized by the Social Innovation Center together with Start.Gut of the city of Hildesheim, the Competence Workshop for Entrepreneurship and Transfer of the University of Hildesheim and the Economic Development Agency Hildesheim Region.
