Humanoids from Lower Saxony
2025 will mark the breakthrough of humanoid robots – with falling prices, increasing availability, and exciting fields of application. Models like the Unitree R1 (starting at $5,900), the igus Iggy Rob from Germany (pre-production in 2025), and Tesla's Optimus (planned for under $20,000) demonstrate that humanoid technologies are becoming tangible. While Chinese manufacturers are forging ahead with affordable series devices, German and US companies are working on high-tech and industrial applications. At the roundtable, I would like to discuss with you the opportunities this presents for Lower Saxony – from research and production to regional pilot projects.
