The E+I Technology Center is the central venue for events and exhibitions showcasing interesting research and development results from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science within the Engineering Faculty of Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences. It serves as a project workspace for the diverse topics within the department. Students have access to specialized, container-style workspaces where they can work on their projects and set up necessary experiments. The Technology Center also provides an opportunity to present the results of this work to the public, making them accessible both within the department and to external visitors. A key element is the "Digital Factory"—a modular manufacturing system that utilizes modern technologies from the field of industrial digitalization and networking to enable highly flexible production. This system is easily adaptable and allows for the optimization of production processes using the collected, digitized data. In addition to the Digital Factory, the Technology Center also offers opportunities to present various other results from the fields of robotics, the Internet of Things, virtual/augmented reality, data science, and many other areas. Furthermore, the technical center features an event space with a stage and LED screen, where internal and external events for exchanging research and development results from the department are regularly held.
