Doctors have to make complex decisions every day – often under time pressure, staff shortages, and the responsibility for far-reaching consequences. This is where artificial intelligence research comes in: How can AI systems be designed not only to evaluate data, but also to reliably filter out medically relevant content and provide transparent justifications? Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and the start-up project TheHealthHub.AI are developing a medical AI assistant that supports decisions in patient care.
