System of Systems Engineering
The Department of System of Systems Engineering researches the development of methods and tools for the systematic analysis, evaluation, and design of complex systems as well as the related environments and subsystems. The department's research areas are the engineering of novel, data-driven business models, product-service systems, as well as innovative forms of cooperation between companies in the sense of industrial symbiosis – Industrial Symbiosis.
Jade Startup Box
The Jade Startup Box (formerly GRÜNDERBOX) was founded in 2005 at the Wilhelmshaven campus of Jade University of Applied Sciences to support students and research staff in starting their own businesses. Through close collaboration with regional partners, the startup service has grown and expanded year after year. Today, the Jade Startup Box is a key first point of contact for aspiring entrepreneurs in Northwest Germany. Since May 2020, the Jade Startup Box has been supported by the EXIST Potentiale project. The project's goal and mission are to unlock startup potential at Jade University of Applied Sciences and in the region, thereby promoting new businesses. Target group: Students, researchers, and staff of Jade University of Applied Sciences . Services offered: Individual startup consulting, various events, Entrepreneurship Certificate, and office space at the Jade Startup Box.
OFFIS - Institute for Informatics
As an affiliated institute of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, OFFIS has been translating scientific know-how from computer science into prototypes since its founding in 1991, which can then be further developed into marketable products by business partners.

KET - Competence Workshop for Entrepreneurship and Transfer
KET supports members of all departments at the University of Hildesheim who are interested in starting a business – from the initial idea to market entry. In addition to individual consultations, including information on suitable funding opportunities and competitions, the team offers qualification programs for the path to self-employment and facilitates contacts within the (inter)national partner network. Creative spaces, a makerspace, and rooms for startup teams provide the necessary space for ideas to mature.
Entrepreneurship Hub
The Entrepreneurship Hub supports students, alumni, and research staff from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, TU Braunschweig, and HBK Braunschweig who want to start their own business. It also offers a comprehensive range of courses and information for aspiring and established entrepreneurs from all three universities. The aim is to promote entrepreneurship as a rewarding and fulfilling career path and to create a vibrant entrepreneurial culture in the region.
