Adpera GmbH i.G.Adpera is a newly founded space-tech company established by three former DLR researchers. The company plans to commercialize the ultralight, deployable space structures developed through the founders’ previous work at DLR. At the core of this technology is the SpaceMast: a compactly stowable carbon-fibre mast that can deploy over several metres in space and, depending on the application, retract again.
The technology can support instruments, solar arrays, antennas, and solar or drag sails. A recent DLR LinkedIn post (https://lnkd.in/p/eJUtrdyN) shows that the underlying DLR technology has now achieved flight heritage through a successful in-orbit demonstration.
Licensing negotiations between Adpera and DLR are still ongoing. Therefore, all technical results, images, and hardware shown here originate from previous work at DLR and represent DLR intellectual property.
