eco:fibreco:fibr has developed an environmentally friendly process to produce pulp from the vegetable waste of pineapple cultivation. The plant residues pose a significant problem for farmers, as they are difficult to compost and are therefore often disposed of with chemicals or fire. The startup thus offers a sustainable alternative to conventional pulp in the paper industry. Production will take place in Costa Rica and distribution in Hanover.
