Solcina Food GmbH"Bananas Tostonas" is the name of our vegan and gluten-free snacks made from plantains. The plantains (span. Platanos) are considered a staple food in Latin America and can be made super crunchy and delicious snacks. Under our own brand "Solcina" we finally bring these snacks, still unknown in Europe, to Germany. We have our snacks "Bananas Tostonas" produced in Ecuador. In the search for a suitable producer, it was a matter of the heart for us as a founding team that we deal directly with the local farmers or farmers' cooperatives, in order to be able to create better incomes and moderate working conditions locally. "Bananas Tostonas" are made from plantains, which due to the high external standard requirements do not make it into the trade. The topic "Upcycling", as well as the renunciation of palm oil, means for us responsibility, sustainability and is the core of our company policy.
