Biotech Insights - Vorstellung des EY Biotech-Reports
Life Science
IBT
Germany stands at a defining moment for biotechnology. Excellent research is a key strength - but it alone is no longer sufficient to remain consistently successful in international competition. How can innovative capacity, new technologies, and a dynamic ecosystem be translated more rapidly into value creation, scaling, and global leadership?
These questions are addressed in the German Biotech Report 2026*, which brings together EY’s thought leadership with leading voices from across the biotechnology ecosystem. The report highlights the conditions that must now change for biotechnology to become a cornerstone of economic resilience, innovation capability, and sustainable growth in Germany and Europe.
The report covers key areas of development within the sector: from AI-supported drug discovery and next-generation biotechnology for food and industry, to precision medicine and cell therapies, as well as the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Across perspectives, a clear message emerges: securing competitiveness and strategic autonomy will require faster translation of innovation into scale—enabled by smart regulation, new financing models, strong partnerships, and decisive execution.
Niedersachsen.next BioRegioN, together with GOe FUTURE, cordially invites you to the event “Biotech Insights – Presentation of the EY Biotech Report 2026” in Göttingen.
Look forward to exclusive insights into the report’s key findings, trends, and strategic recommendations, presented by Klaus Ort (Ernst & Young GmbH). In addition, you can expect exciting contributions from Sartorius on New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), from Pacuna Biotech on alpaca-derived nanobodies, and from MyriaMeat on future food—complemented by current insights into the Startup Factory for Life Sciences GOe FUTURE.
Join us and take the opportunity to exchange ideas, engage in discussion, and network with representatives from academia, industry, government, and the innovation ecosystem.
