ArthroPore, University Medical Center GöttingenArthroPore is a start-up for developing personalized medical implants for cartilage repair and osteoarthritis (OA) treatment. Our research suggests that OA is not caused by the cartilage itself, as previously thought, but by an alteration in the microstructure of the bone beneath the cartilage, known as "subchondral bone". Our therapeutic strategy is to restore the microporosity of joints in diseased patients for regeneration of the overlying cartilage.
