Welcome to the Lower Saxony Hydrogen Network

Green hydrogen is an essential pillar of the energy transition and a prerequisite for meeting climate protection targets. As a land and energy state, Lower Saxony has the best prerequisites to become hydrogen state no. 1. The Lower Saxon potentials in the areas of production, transport, storage and use of green hydrogen and its downstream products must now be leveraged!



The state of Lower Saxony is particularly committed to green hydrogen and has already launched a number of initiatives and events as well as funding programs at an early stage.



The Lower Saxony Hydrogen Network (NWN) supports and advises the various stakeholders in the hydrogen economy from politics, industry and science. Meanwhile, more than 700 hydrogen stakeholders in and around Lower Saxony are active within the framework of the NWN. The NWN office is managed by the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony (KEAN) and supported by network partners DGB and UVN. In addition, we cooperate with the Lower Saxony Innovation Center and the Lower Saxony Energy Research Center as well as regional networks.
